When Yank Malcolm Glazer bought Manchester United for $1.5 billion in 2005, everyone wondered why since the team was worth only about $1.25 billion. Yet today, it worth about $1.8 billion and is the world's most valuable soccer teams.

The second highest is Real Madrid and Arsenal as well as Liverpool following after. Yet Man U. is by far the most valuable since Real Madrid is around $1.29 billion, Arsenal $1.2 billion and Liverpool $1.1 billion dollars worth.

Sport is becoming more and more like a way for the companies’ chance to enhance the brand recognition. I am not so sure how they evaluate each team’s value yet I believe it would probably be out of the advertising companies’ marketing budget. Companies such as Coca Cola, Nike, Samsung, are dying to support the teams since there is load of possibilities to enhance the brand recognition and to appeal to the fans. Even without the fans, it would enhance the brand recognition and the company’s or brand’s image.
