5. Apple's OS Edge Is a Threat to Microsoft

Apple has brought an innovation to their recent upgrade of the Macintosh operating system. With a new feature called “spaces” you are able to switch from the Mac Operating system to the Windows OS, and switch it back. The new feature is a threat to the dominating Microsoft’s OS. With the launch of the I-Phone 2.0 in the future and its programming software, people will need the Mac OS to use it. So, I-Phone users are going to draw their preference to the Mac computers because they don’t need to give up Windows applications in doing so.
I think it is a very clever way that Apple used to attract people for the use of their computers. Because a lot of people think that Mac OS is very complicated and the great majority of people who used the Windows OS had difficulties in working with the Mac. The launch of the upgrade of the I-Phone which requires the Mac OS for its use was a strategic plan to “trap” people for the need of their Operating System. They have already done it on the mp3 industry with the I-Pod which requires the I-tunes for its use, but coming with the same strategy in a much greater dimension which challenges the dominance of the Microsoft Windows OS is very interesting and intelligent.
